itc Upgrades the Hall of Shanghai Xinzhong Senior High School

Founded nearly 90 years ago, Shanghai Xinzong Senior High School traces its origins to the Qianye Public School established in 1925. Over time, the school has developed a distinctive educational culture, becoming the first batch of Experimental and Demonstrative High Schools named by Shanghai. Today, the campus covers 25 acres with 56,000 m² of buildings organized across teaching, administration, residential, sports, and arts zones.

As a leader in the audiovisual and lighting industry, itc assisted the school in equipping the music hall with digital devices, covering systems such as audiovisual and lighting control platform, stage lighting, and professional sound system. This provided solid technical support for the centennial celebration of the school, ensuring every moment was perfectly presented.

Stage Lighting System

Meeting the school's needs for education, research, and meetings, itc configured studio lights, moving head lights, and follow spot lights to deliver precise focus and rich color control.

itc studio lights add visual narrative and atmosphere to musical performances, while itc moving head lights use high-brightness LED beads to offer adjustable brightness, color, rotation speed, and direction suited to diverse performances and conference scenarios. The follow spot lights can track performers or objects, keeping them highlighted even while moving. They also allow flexible rotation, aperture adjustment, and color changes, synchronizing with music or actions to enhance the on-site rhythm.

itc stage mechanics enable accurate execution of complex motions, such as lifts, rotations, and translations, via a user-friendly interface that supports one-touch scene recall, multi-axis synchronization, and speed adjustment to ensure smooth and safe performances. These stage mechanics integrate with the lighting and audio systems to create immersive effects, achieving a seamless fusion of performance art and technology.

Professional Sound System

In the architectural sound field design, itc project team used professional acoustic simulation software to analyze the space and select suitable wall materials, structure, and decorations, creating a scientific sound coverage solution that effectively prevents external noise from interfering with the core listening area.

To achieve optimal reverberation time, richness of sound, and even SPL distribution throughout the auditorium, the system was configured with eight linear array speakers, sixteen professional speakers, and seven amplifier speakers based on room proportions and stage position. Together, these loudspeakers eliminate common sound field dead zones in traditional setups and ensure clear auditory feedback between conductor and performers.

Additionally, itc conference microphones configured in the music hall meet CD-quality standards with 48 kHz sampling rate and support ultra-long pickup distances to ensure clear and stable sound at all times. This meets the needs of various scenarios and promotes the efficient operation of conferences and performances.

Audiovisual and Lighting Control

To automate the coordination of lighting, audio, and projection effects during performances and conferences, itc audiovisual and lighting control platform is deployed in the music hall.

The platform uses AI intelligent music analysis technology to analyze music rhythm, speed, and intensity in real time and drive lighting patterns, color, brightness, and video playback speed in precise synchrony. Operators can control the system from a tablet with one-tap scene selection. AI evaluates musical emotion and automatically adjusts lighting, audio, and video to switch modes seamlessly, strengthening performance expressiveness and immersion.

With the school's musical facilities now upgraded, students can enjoy richer, more engaging learning experiences and school life.
